Stone Love Eggs

As you may have already discerned, here at Objects of Desire, we like our playthings to have both form and function. Coco de Mer’s Stone Love Egg set fits the bill perfectly.

Each egg is a different size and weight, the idea being that you gradually make it more difficult for your vagina to hold the egg in place. Surprisingly, this means that you work with the largest, heaviest egg first, and work your way down to the smallest, because it’s harder to cling on to the smaller egg.

The eggs are smooth and beautiful, and cold to the touch. They are made of jade, rose quartz and obsidian respectively, and are strung with a red cord. Elegant and jewel-like, they feel like an exquisite treat for your body, rather than a practical tool to exercise a muscle. I felt like I was buying myself jewellery.

To use your eggs for the first time, replace the string with unwaxed dental floss (more hygienic and disposable), and then sterilise them by suspending them into a pan of boiling water for 10 minutes. Then try doing your usual Kegel exercises with one inserted, or just wear it as you go about your day.

One Response to Stone Love Eggs

One section of Mantak Chia’s book “Healing Love through the Tao: Cultivating Female Sexual Energy” has exercises to use stone or jade “eggs” like these to learn voluntary control of the muscles in the vagina.

The book has been through at least two editions and should be available inexpensively second hand.
