So here goes. At the bottom of the post, I’m tagging the next 10 bloggers whose 10 things I’d like to hear.
In no particular order:
A lovely smoky blend of whole-leaf green tea & mint that gets me through the day. I would be bereft without it.
I’m beside myself with excitement about her new book, There but for the. Very much hoping for her usual lively dismantling of middle class mores.
Just the loveliest way to tone your pelvic floor. I wish I could remember when the damned things are in place though. If I have to fish around in my own urine again, having expelled the egg accidentally, I’ll scream.
I may not be the world’s best advertisement for it, but meditation just about keeps me sane. I re-learned my technique with Lorin Roche last year, and I can’t think of a better teacher. His book, Meditation Made Easy, encompasses his free-thinking, responsive approach.
Makes me feel like I’ve got my finger on the pulse of modern technology. This, clearly, is a lie I tell myself, but we all have to find a way to sleep at night, right?
Keeps me sane when the meditation isn’t enough. I’m partial to a gin martini, since you ask.
I am altogether a sucker for William Blake, but this picture utterly charms me whenever I see it.
The Julie Driscoll/Brian Auger version. Never fails to cheer me up. A little-known fact about Herbert is that he has an extensive collection of Hair LPs.
I have the skin of a rampantly hormonal teenager. This funny little oscillating brush seems to trick it into reasonable behaviour. I am, frankly, obsessed.
10. The Sea
It smells nice. You can swim in it. It sounds soothing. Sitting beside makes everything feel better.
